The Caledonian Canal Print E-mail
Attractions - History

The Caledonian Canal was completed in 1822

It links the west coast of Scotland (close to Atlantic waters) with the North sea.  The canal was built by Thomas Telford and is one of the great feats of British civil engineering.

Yachts and all manner of vessels use this waterway regularly.
